Anglican Diocese of the Living Word

The Anglican Diocese of the Living Word is a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) and a member diocese of Gafcon. It stretches from Maine to Miami and from California to Long Island.

It is the home to 39 congregations and 94 parochial and non-parochial clergy. It is dedicated to professing its faith in Jesus Christ and the power of His transforming love to the church, the nation, and the world.

ACNA

The Anglican Church started in Britain, where it is known as the Church of England. As people moved out from the British Isles to explore the world, they brought their faith with them. Today the Anglican Communion is in 38 provinces spanning the entire globe.

Our Diocese, Anglican Diocese of the Living Word, is one of the dioceses of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). In the United States and Canada, this province of parishes in dioceses under bishops links Holy Trinity to a thousand parishes across the nation.

GAFCON

The Gafcon (Global Anglican Future Conference) movement is a global family of authentic Anglicans standing together to retain and restore the Bible to the heart of the Anglican Communion. Our mission is to guard the unchanging, transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim Him to the world. We are founded on the Bible, bound together by the Jerusalem Statement and Declaration of 2008, and led by a Primates Council, which represents the majority of the world’s Anglicans.*

Gafcon works to guard and proclaim the unchanging, transforming Gospel through biblically faithful preaching and teaching which frees our churches to make disciples by clear and certain witness to Jesus Christ in all the world.*
